Biking for Bucks

Expand Goshen’s Tree Canopy!

The Electric Brew celebrates its 25th anniversary by biking to raise money for Trees for Goshen

A local Goshen business, The Electric Brew, is celebrating its 25th anniversary fall 2021. To mark this occasion, The Electric Brew’s owners, Myron and Dana Bontrager are biking 2,900 miles of the East Coast Greenway Trail. They are raising $25,000 for Trees for Goshen over the course of their bike ride this fall to support the city of Goshen’s tree canopy goal.

Support the Canopy: Sponsor a Mile

The goal of $25,000 will purchase 1,000 trees to be planted in Goshen. Trees for Goshen provides and plants trees for private and public landowners each fall and spring at little to no cost.

Support Goshen’s urban forest and the Bontragers’ journey by sponsoring $25 for the 25th – enough to plant one tree!

Updates:

  • The last day to give toward Biking For Bucks is Friday, October 22. Thank you to all who have donated thus far!
  • The Electric Brew will donate 2 pounds of coffee for every donation of $200 or more! Give at the link below, and your coffee can be picked up between October 18 and December 31, 2021.

Grow the Canopy: Plant a Tree

Let your donation grow! With a goal of purchasing 1,000 trees, we need your help in getting them in the ground.

Interested in planting a tree on your property? Check back on our website to request a tree to be planted this spring. We accept donations of $25 per tree if you are able to give, but no one will be turned away due to cost.
